Our Beliefs of Troop 1089

In Troop 1089, we recognize that this is your troop. It's about making you a leader. You run the meetings, you decide on the activities, and you make the most important decisions.

We believe in our duty to others. We instill in our scouts a deep sense of responsibility to be kind, compassionate, and helpful members of society.

Campout
Info

Scouts organize one campout a month except in June and July. In June and July, "Summer Camp" and "High Adventure" trips are conducted during those months. A wide variety of campout themes are included throughout the year. Themes such as canoeing, backpacking, rock climbing, kayaking, fishing, and the list goes on....

As Cub Scouts my boys developed a passion for hanging out with friends and exploring nature on campouts. As Webelos and earning Arrow of Light (mid-year 5th grade) they and a large group of pals wanted to continue. Dad’s from the Pack planned for the boys to visit multiple Troops and for the Pack of 13 Webelos to decide which Troop to join. Troop 1089 was selected by this “Band of Bros,” saying that they could tell this Troop was truly boy lead and the older Scouts they met seemed really cool. Nearing the end of 7th grade now, half of the 13 remain, new friends have joined and their journey toward Eagle continues…
